Welcome to our Snow Sports School we offer programs for Skiers & Snowboarders of all ages and abilities. Marmot Basin Instructors are professionally certified by Canadian & International associations. If you would like your lesson taught in a language other than English please let use know.
Whether it’s your first time or you are a seasoned enthusiast Marmots safe and Friendly Mountain is the ideal place to experience the thrill and magic of Skiing & Snowboarding. Our programs emphasize fun, safety, and education; we will ensure you have a positive and memorable experience.

Full Day Private Lesson
A Full Day Private is all about you. Your Instructor will give you 100%of there focus. Spend the day going where you want, when you want, doing what is best for you. Or if you wish bring Family, Friends, anyone you like, with an entire day your instructor can help everyone. (Maximum 5 people in the lesson)
Two hour private lessons
The Snow Sport School’s best seller! For first timers to experts we will help you improve technique, consolidate your skills, show you the best terrain for you and make your day in the mountains better. (Maximum 5 people in the lesson)
First Tracks private lessons
Get up the mountain first, on the lift at 8:30am. Not only a Private Instructor also a Private Mountain. When the conditions are appropriate this is the time to get a powder lesson. (Maximum 3 people in the lesson)

The Discover package is designed and intended for first time Skiers or Snowboarders! It covers the basic skills required to get you sliding on your own. This package includes a 2-hour lesson with a Professionally Certified Instructor, a full day beginner lift ticket (includes the magic carpet & t-bar) and a full day of rental equipment.

Next Step Group Lesson Skiing/Snowboarding 2, 3, 4 is designed for Skiers & Snowboarders who are looking to move on to the next step and wish to improve their basic technique. The “Ability Guide” will help pick the correct ability level 2, 3, 4. This package includes a 2-hour lesson with a Professionally Certified Instructor, a full day lift ticket, and a full day of rental equipment.

This ski and play program is designed for parents who want their children to start off on the right ‘track’ and learn to love the mountain experience like they do! Your children will have a fun filled day of learning and playing on the slopes, as well as time to relax and enjoy playing in the VIA Little Rascals Nursery.
Check your children into the Nursery at the start of the day; we will take care of the rest! The Nursery and Snow Sport School Staff work together ensuring the little ones have safe, fulfilled day on the Mountain!

If you want to get into the park and build your basic freestyle skills enrol in our introductory course: “Terrain Park Skills”. Topics in this programs cover: terrain park safety & etiquette, introduction to rails, boxes, straight airs, grabs, spins, switch riding & all mountain freestyle. All our coaches on this program hold park instructor certifications. Helmets are mandatory.
If you are already riding in the park and want to increase your ability, join a Progression Session. Level 1, Discover 1
The Discover 1package is designed and intended for first time Skiers or Snowboarders! It covers the basic skills required to get you sliding on your own.
Level 2, Once or twice
Discover 2 is a progression from Discover 1. Discover 2 is designed for Skiers & Snowboarders who are not at ease on green runs and wish to improve their basic technique. Skiers & boarders interested in this program should be able to stop and change direction to avoid obstacles.
Level 3, Green Circle, Discovered 3
This level is for Skiers & Snowboarders who are comfortable on green circle runs. The goals for these individuals are to improve technique and develop skills that will help prepare for blue runs.
Level 4, Blue Square, Discovered 4
This level is intended for Skiers & Snowboarders who can get down a blue square run. We will help you consolidate your skills and refine your technique, making your alpine decent easier.
Level 5, Black Diamond
This level welcomes Skiers & Snowboarders who attempt black diamond terrain, and want to find a more efficient way down the mountain. This group goes off the groomed runs and at times in moguls, if the conditions are appropriate.
Marmot Basin Snow Sports School Cancellation Policy: Please notify us 24 hours in advance of your reserved lesson if you cannot attend. Notification of less than 24 hours results in 40% of the lesson cost charged to your credit card.
The Marmot Basin Snow Sports School reserves the right to cancel Group Lessons if the minimum numbers of participants have not signed up.
